Ever since I was little,I have always wanted to bake a birthday cake for my mother’s birthday.This year,I attempted to accomplish just that.The morning of her birthday,I hurried into the kitchen,placed the ingredients I had secretly obtained days ago,and started to put the cake together,carefully following a recipe.When I was done,the cake looked far from beautiful,but the taste was wonderful.When my mother returned from work that afternoon,I presented my cake to her,and she gasped in surprise.At that instant,I knew that I had produced the perfect birthday present.I felt genuinely happy,and I was extremely glad that I brightened up my mother’s day too!
