[Abstract] Since the nineties of last century,"sutra recitation education" has gained increasing popularity in Chinese society,and the enthusiasm is still strong.Amidst the vogue for reading sutras,considerable controversy has been looming.This article intends to explore four main aspects:1) what is a sutra?2) why read sutras?3) how to read sutras?4) tips to take heed of before participating in such an activity,in order to analize and gain insight into this hot topic of child education.
