When it refers to the topic that whether people should understand the past,most of the people's opinion are divergent on such controversial issue. From my point of view,i consider that people understand the past may be better.
To begin with, learning historical story can give us some enlightenment. sometimes, people may meet with some troubles in the presents, therefore, they will be very miserable at first, but after they read some excellent historical books, it may give them some enlightenment . Let me should you an example, i have a good friend, he's name is Shaga, because of his terrible mark, he lose his confident to study, however, one day he read a historical book called "Alexander the Great"，he gained a lot of inspiration from that book, the book tell a men called Alexander the Great,he was a well known militarist and politician, although he was busy in fighting against another countries, he still like study very much, once a time, he's teacher gave him a famous book, Alexander kept it with him throughout all his later travel even sleeping with it under his pillow. my friend was inspire from this story, so he works really hard in his course. It turn out that a great historical book will inspire a person and encourage him to overcome the problem.
Additionally, we can learn a lesson from some historical figures. if a person want to succeed, he may be need some experiences, but how were the experiences come from? it may from the historical figure.I will show you an example that like Napoleon, he was a famous militarist and politician, he won a plentiful of wars,but unfortunately,he was defeated in waterloo,why he was fail? that is because he made a careless mistake, he choose a wrong person. In the battle of waterloo, Napoleon ordered a general to attack the enemies from the south, but when enemies appear, this general did not attack the enemies because Napoleon can not give him the order on time,thereby Napoleon was defeated in this battle.Due to this story, i can learn a lesson that choosing a wrong person will be harmful to you. Though historical figure, we can learn more in order to deal with the problem.
Weighing the pros and cons of the topic that whether people should understand the past and considering those eloquent reasons presented above, it is not difficult to conclude that people should understand the past, the reason is that historical story can give us some enlightenment,besides, we can learn a lesson from some historical figures.It is predictable that we could deal with the trouble in the present and future provided that we can understand the past perfectly.
