It is true that manangers in large corporations tend to earn a staggering salary compared with common working staff.People may have diverse opinions about it.There is a reason behind everything. As far as I am concerned,I partialy agree with this practice.
First of all, managers usually shoulder more responsibilities than those ordinary employees,so they have to work hard and put up with tremendous pressure. They have to consider all the risks and profits of the business transations. And they have to manage almost every aspect within the company, from human resources, balance sheet, corporate culture to the customer service.Even though the manager have many people work for the business,he or she has to be capable enough to handle all the routines and emergencies. Therefore,it is reasonable for them to earn much higher salaries than common working staff.
On the other hand, managers' remuneration has to be equivalent to their contribution to the company. After all,it takes each and every one of the company to make the company prosperous. Some bonus and payment package should be enough for recruiting the best management talent.Otherwise,it might be unfair for those hardworking common employees.Despite the fact that the real geniuses are hard to find,a competent senior executive should suffice to cope with different aspects of a company.
In a word, chief executive managers deserve greater promotions and payment to some extent; however, there is no need to pay a too high salary to hire the best manager because the work is not done by one person but by workers at different levels of the company.
