Good morning, teachers and fellow students!
My topic today is "Be Proud of the Labourers". For all of us who enjoy this quality education and live in this beautiful campus bathed in sunshine and rain, we are blessed.
But have you ever thought of those who planted these trees to make our campus filled with life and vigor? And those who works late at night in Fu'an to prepare for the delivery of a brilliant class? Or the hard-working people who started labouring when we're still asleep so that we could have a healthy and nutritious breakfast?
Though their names are different, they are all labourers working hard to create a comfortable environment for us to study and live in! It's because of them that we could live happily and grow up in health, but did we fully appreciate their efforts and the fruits of their labour? Our teachers who give without counting and our parents who watched over us without complaints, did we show them the gratitude they deserve? In our 12 years of campus life, we immerse ourselves among the papers and books, and did we pay attention to the unceasing labours of others?
In the eve of Labour Day, on behalf of the International Department, I would like to beseech all students to be grateful for all that we have now and show our gratitude to every teaching and janitor staff through our actions.
Let us salute them!
Good evening".
