Currently, the definition about hero has been disputed ubiquitously.Somebody believes that hero is the person who achieves a lot of fame, nevetheless,I maintain that hero can be defined as a person who gathers enough braveness to tell the truth. The following examples of Jack Welch and Coco Chanel could substantiate my opinion.
Jack Welch is the most advisable embodiment of telling the truth.Jack Welch, known as "the Neutron Jack",because of his radical
revolution, was the CEO of General Electric.e 1980s,he worked to GE and made it become the most competitive company. He also pushed the managers of business he kept be more productive.During the developing period, there appears a lot of problems in GE,some people were aware of them but were afraid to make reformation.Conversly,Jack Welch start a revolution and worked to eradicate the adversity by trimming inventories and dismantling the unnessities.that had almost led him to leave GE in the past. At the time, the board of GE rejected the seeming revolution. Their argument was firm that GE was such a huge corperation that any slightest proposed movement would shake the stability of the company. For the fear of violation after order, board forced jack to step back, otherwise, he might leave. Strongly believing in what he would do and what pay back he would get. Jack continued his actions. He shut down factories, reduced payrolls and cut lackluster old-line units. When Jack Welch left GE, the company had gone from a market value of 14 billion to one of more than 410 billion at the end of 2004.
Coco Chanel can also illustrate my definition of hero.Coco Chanel was a pioneering French fashion designer whose modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashions, and pursuit of expensive simplicity made her arguably the most crucial figure in the history of 20th-century fashion. Her influence on haute couture was such that she was the only person in the field to be named on TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people of the 20th century. At that time, the women’s dress styles were limited and stiff. Some even thought Chanel’s designs were radical and couldn't be accepted. Strongly believing in what she would do and what payback she would get, Chanel persisted in her own style. Finally, Chanel freed women from the conservation and stiffness apparel worn at the end of the 19th century. Although most fashion designers at the same time with Chanel tried to be the no.1 or no.2 in designing particular things, Chanel also introduced jewellery and perfume to the world of fashion. Specially Chanel no.5 not only wasted Chanel’s energy to design other products, but also made her become a millionaire as the best selling perfumes in the world.
To sum up,from the examples of Jack Welch and Coco Chanel,we can draw a conclusion that the truly hero is the one who obtains braveness to tell the truth.Jack Welch and Coco Chanel achieved worldwide fame by their candidness and frankness.
